It’s a simple trick of physics, but it means the seal is much tighter and lasts longer.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The &amp;ldquo;Sweet Spot&amp;rdquo; for Heat&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Now, you can&amp;rsquo;t just blast the tooth with heat. If you go overboard, you&amp;rsquo;ll kill the pulp, and nobody wants that.&#xA;That&amp;rsquo;s why we stick to the near-infrared (NIR) spectrum. It’s a specific wavelength that targets the water in the tooth just enough to get the medicine moving, but keeps everything at a safe temperature. You just have to keep an eye on your power settings to make sure the heat stays controlled.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The Real-World Stuff&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;The best part? It&amp;rsquo;s fast. Your patients get out of the chair sooner, and you get your day back.&#xA;There are a couple of things to keep in mind, though. The gear takes up a bit of extra space on your counter. Also, every tooth is different. If you&amp;rsquo;re dealing with really dense enamel, you might need to leave the light on a few seconds longer than you would for more porous dentin.&#xA;My advice? Hook it up to a precision timer. It takes the guesswork out of it so you never have to worry about over-exposing the tooth.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
