Power, voltage, and why the size matters
A standard unit runs on 400V and pushes 2500W through a 300mm tube. That power isn’t random. It’s what creates the intense UV punch needed to cure thick, pigmented coatings fast—like, really fast. And the 300mm length is intentionally compact, so it slips into tight curing chambers without eating up your floor space, while still covering the full width of the board. The 400V input also helps control the arc over distance, so the output stays steady through long production runs. No more worrying about under-cured edges. But here’s the catch: that 2500W throws off serious heat. So your cooling system needs to be up to the task. If it isn’t, the lamp runs hot—and that shortens its life.
Why we use quartz, the right coating, and R7s
We use quartz envelopes because they handle the shock of switching on and off without cracking, and they let the UV through cleanly. The tube also has a special coating that filters out unwanted IR. That helps keep the part from warping and keeps the substrate temperature under control. And the R7s connector? It’s the workhorse for this size. It carries high current, locks in place, and makes replacement a straight drop-in on the line. Plus, it lines up easily inside the reflector, so the UV energy stays focused on the coating—not wasted on the edges.
What it feels like on the line: tough finish, gloss that sticks
On a wood flooring line, this lamp’s job is simple: cure the top layer fast—and cure it all the way. High irradiance drives the cross-linking, which is what gives you scratch resistance and chemical resistance. And when the cure is fast and complete, the gloss stays consistent.
