How the Magic Happens
We use low and medium-pressure mercury vapor to hit those exact wavelengths you need. Basically, an electrical arc jumps through the vapor, and boom—you get intense UV radiation. But here’s the catch: the quartz envelope has to be top-notch. It has to handle crazy internal pressure and heat without flinching. If the quartz isn’t pure enough, the glass starts soaking up the UV instead of letting it pass through. That’s a disaster for your curing speed.
Making Sure It Actually Fits
You’ve got to match your wattage and voltage to your ballast. If you don’t, the bulb will either burn out way too early or just won’t put out enough power. We can do custom lengths, too. That means you can just slide our lamps into your existing setup without having to rebuild your entire line. It’s a simple swap. One thing to watch out for: high-wattage bulbs throw off a ton of infrared heat. It’s hot. Like, really hot. If your conveyor is crawling or your fans are choked with dust, you’re going to scorch your materials. Just make sure your cooling system can handle the heat load.
